Now how impressive is this! Not yet a week passed, and I' m back already.

Since I last wrote, I have spent a day in Bedford, oh all the glamorous places my job takes me to! It was interesting and, hopefully, useful though. Other then that I've mainly, and unsurprisingly, been trying to sort out the house. It turned out the shower leak was no big problems really, apparently we need to change the shower head. I do tend to leave that sort of thing to my husband, however much I feel I shouldn't fall in to the gender stereotypes, but I'm just rubbish at it. Anyway, after what I understood the floor in the bathroom is none to good and the water leaks through it, but no burst pipes or anything.

One of our stair gates is also up, although the lock isn't working properly so at the moment it's mostly hindering us, but not really stopping Alex. But my beloved has promised to fix that today, and he looked like he knew what he was doing, so I'm not to worried. And he has bought a new drill so he's enjoying himself no end. Alex is also very impressed with the drill, it makes loads of noice and quite a bit of a mess, and what more can you want?

Oh and I had a very exiting e-mail from the National Lottery; telling me to logg in to my accont as they had some exiting news for me! Oh very nice I thought, is it maybe time to hand in that notice? Or at least to treat ourselves to something really nice. I had of course forgotten my password, and I had to call up there costumer care phone line, and on the whole took quite some time. Of course I was getting worried, as if I couldn't get in there I wouldn't get my winnings, what a waste of thousends, maybe millions of pounds. Well anyway at last long I got in there, and they informed me they had transfered my winnings of £10 to my bank account. So I better stay put for a little while. Still, it's the first time I've ever won, and at least it might pay for the lottery tickets for next month!

In the new house!

Yet again a long time has passed since I wrote here, but I do feel that this time I do have some excuse, as I really have had very much going on resently. Mainly of course we have bought a house.
We have moved in this weekend, really we hoped to do it last weekend, but we could get no-one to help us so it was delayed.
As the incorrigable optimism I am I had happily invited four friens and their off spring (five in total) to come around on Saturday comming but on Monday morning I realised that there is no way our house will be in a fit state by then.
We have managed to get the most important functions of our house running, but mainly it is boxes and bags most everywhere.
Alex absolutely adores his room, he can spend any amount of time in there playing with his toys, climbing in and out of his wardrobe and standing at the window looking at the trains going passed. I was a bit worried that he'd be upset about the change, but he apear to see the benenfit of the move as accutely as we do. Yesterday I acctually had some problems getting things done as he refused to leave his room. Eventually I had to kidnap his Postman Pat van to get him to come with me.
We are getting our washing machine installed today, so at least I can get cracking on the laundry, which is at the moment threatening to take over the entier house. Getting all that done is the next big project, as we will not be able to get any real order in the house until we can sort the clothes out.
We have been slightly worried though that the house have some damp patches on one of the walls, so we might have to get it damp proofed, and we have no idea how much that'll cost, but of course it just has to be done if it's needed. Last night we got another suprise though, I was in the shower, when David shouted in to me; 'it's leaking in to the kitchen'! Great, so pressumably there is a pipe leaking somewhere, thankfully I don't think it's been going on for to long as there is no marks in the kitchen cealing. but again, it's better done sooner then later.
On the whole though we are very happy with the house, it's really spaciouse and the garden will be lovely when we are done. We'll have to take one thing at the time of course, but we have no rush.
